I make a great salsa
Recipe for salsa cooked on the BBQ
about 15 medium tomato's
two pablano peppers
two jalepeno peppers
one large onion or more to your liking
one whole bunch of garlic
one bunch of cilantro

take a large bowl and cut all the tomatos in half and remove top hard part of core
put in the pablanos, jalepenos
cote with a light drizzle of olive oil and salt/pepper and mix it up a bit
take a large aluminum turkey type pan and poke quite a few holes in the bottom
cook chopped up onions, garlic, cilantro, jalepanos in the pan on grill and drizzle with olive oil and lots of salt & pepper or any spices you like go in here.
grill your tomatos and pablano's on the grill...if there black it just adds roasted flavor
you'll know when there done they will be ready to fall through the grill, you want the seeds to fall out so the salsa's not watery.
put all back in to bowl and mix up a bit and let sit for a minute or two so more watery can be drained off.
Remove the tops to the pablanos you can remove seeds if you don't want it as hot...but if you like hot like me just take the tops off
Put the mixture into a blender and just pulse like two or three times, any more and it will be like a puree.

Put the salsa in smaller bowls and put in the freezer for ten minutes and then in fridge for another half hour or so before serving.
Make sure you use good quality chips

I learned this recipe on a trip to mexico and have refined it over the last 6 years

let me know your results if you make it - have fun

I love this recipe because it is simple and quick! Many salsa lovers will be rolling over in agony over it though!

1 large clove of garlic, peeled
1 habenero pepper, stem removed
1 tsp salt
1 Tbsp cider vinegar
1 yellow onion peeled and quartered
1 bell pepper seeded and quartered
2 14 oz cans of diced canned tomatoes

Turn on food processor and through the food tube add garlic and pepper. When throughly minced turn off processor and add salt and vinegar. Mix together in bottom of processor. I allow this to sit while I clean the onion, pepper, and open the tomatoes. Then add onion and pepper to processor and pulse until coarsely chopped. Add tomatoes and chop until well mixed and vegetables are in fine pieces. Of course you can add fresh tomatoes to this they make it wonderful. This is a traditional White American salty, fiery, salsa that we enjoy immensely.

If you don't have a processor just chop everything yourself adding it to the bowl in the same order. Again leaving the garlic and pepper to marinade in the vinegar and salt while chopping up the other vegetables.
