In a previous question I posted on Yahoo! Answers, concerning the discrimination of Islam, someone demanded me and my fellow muslims to apologize for what fundamentalist muslims are doing. Why would we apologize for that, being innocent and all? Would you demand that the Germans apologize for WWII? Would it be fair to ask Americans to apologize for what Bush is doing?

Of course, I condemn it. I hate to see people so abuse my religion.

Yeah, that is kind of silly. Christians don't apologize for Jim Jones or David Koresh. They simply say "they weren't "REAL" Christians". I wouldn't expect innocent people to apologize for what fanatics do. But I would like to see those within Islam go one way or the other instead of remaining silent on the issue. Either say it was wrong... or say they agree. But remaining silent is hurting the Muslims more than anything.

"Uh, actually, the Germans were forced to apologize and they also bankrupted the country to pay reparations. And, America was forced to apologize and repay Japanese citizens for interring them in concentration camps during WWII.", Sorry that was about 60 years ago............why would Germans NOW have to apologize for their ancestors....................

It is more than fair to ask us to apologize, we allowed the fundamentalist FOOL to be voted into office and he is screwing up the world in OUR name.

It is however silly to ask you to apologize for nutbags blowing themselves up and claiming that a religion that does not condone doing it really does. They are not doing it in your name they are twisting a spiritual leaders message for their own purpose.

if I had been stupid enough to vote for Bush I would apoligize to the world.
if you agree with what fundamentalist Islams are doing then you should apoligize.
but I don't think you preach violence and hatred.
should all christians apoligize for the actions of the KKK since the KKK murders in the name of christ?

More importantly would you demand Christians to apolgize for a small group called...O whats that name again... O yea The KKK, thats right the KKK is a Christian organization, now everytime they do something bad I want The Pope and all Christians to apologize.

OK.
Thanks.

Would you at least be willing to condemn it, even though you rightfully refuse to apologize for something in which you share no guilt?

You have no need to apologize to anyone for the actions of other. What, is it politically correct that I apologize for my black brothers who unfortunately committed crimes?

Uh, actually, the Germans were forced to apologize and they also bankrupted the country to pay reparations. And, America was forced to apologize and repay Japanese citizens for interring them in concentration camps during WWII.

So get down on your knees and beg forgiveness!
