Mt. Baker in Washington holds the US record for annual snowfall.

The arctic and antarctic receive very little precipitation... so very little snowfall.

Not even close! It has a lot of run off from the mountains around it. You are going to want to look a little farther North and probably in Siberia or Russia for the snowiest place.

Mts Baker and Rainier in Washington have very snowy spots on them, round about 5000 foot elevation. Which spot or which average you use determines who wins. There are specific spots to ski and not a lot of wilderness heli-skiing.

What Valdez has is lot of peaks and slopes and lots of snow over a broad, undeveloped area. So if you bring your Visa card, and aren't afraid of helicopters, you can get in a LOT of pristine runs of whatever difficulty you want. For that, it is unrivaled - the combination of big snow, big slopes, and helicopter charter with a pretty free range over the area.
