Nope...don't make no sense a'tall...
Believe whatever you want and ditch the rest...
Kind of like turning the channel when commercials come on....
see? the problem with "faith" is that you are asked to believe without any reason...regardless of whether it makes sense or not...
the ancient axiom still holds true..
"to thine own self be true"

You need to find someone to teach you!

Reading the bible you have to have some wisdom.

Gen 1 covers the creation, and the creation of the races!

Gen 2 on the 8th day, The Adam was created, and his first son was Abel!

Ive been in the same position as you and I really sympathise..I never got answers that seemed to add up even after thoroughly researching..Try researching your religion a bit more to see if you get the answers you want but if you still feel confused you may find there are other religions out there..I was a roman catholic and have reverted to Islam..It wasnt very easy at all and in fact took me a long time to consider another religion but now I feel so content with answers I am given and to not get fobbed off at the slightest thing I point out. Dont be unhappy, but gain more knowledge, open your mind and you will get somewhere insh'allah.

Cain moved away after killing his brother to the land of Nod where he married other women. I have never understood this. If Adam and Eve were the first people, where did these other women come from if not from them? Does this mean that Cain married his sister? If one takes the Bible literally surely it means just that? Mmmmm

the birth of daughters is not recorded in geaneologies, there could have been 10 daughters before Cain and a dozen between.
The bible is not your standard paperback, I never understood any of it and often forgot what I read within seconds of closing the cover. It wasn't until I asked jesus to be my Lord that the bible transformed, it became alive and every word was a breath of life.

I said that the next person who asked this type of question would provoke me to come round and slap their legs!
The Adam and Eve story is a morality tale, not a literal explanation of the origin of man. It is to do with how humans will react in a given circumstance and how weak they are. You can still believe in the Bible, I just think you need to be a little more adult in your manner of reading it.

The Bible as we know it has been heavily edited, translated and re-written so many times that a lot of what's left makes very little sense.

If my memory serves me correctly, Cain married his sister and fathered several children.

Well I'm sure god chucked in a few more women for the boys to see if the same thing happened to them. Here we are today. The first press censorship took place in the bible.

As the Bible states Cain married his wife.

Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bore Enoch: and he built a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
