I've always had my own room, so I never gave it a thought until now. I've met people recently who live in small houses, only with 2 bedrooms. The parents sleep on one bedroom, and the teens in another one. Some of these rooms are too small, and they can only fit one bed, so they brother and sister who happen to be teens sleep on it.

Is it just me, or is that wrong?

Teen Sister Sleep

I don't feel that it is right for to teens to sleep together everynight,If it was a once in a while thing like on vaction or camping it would be different.I feel this way for a few reasons,One being that hormones happen. And I'm not a nasty minded person in saying this. When my brother and I were growing up he would mess with me,not because he was a pervert but because he was curious, not that it made it right but it sometimes happens. And teenage girls need their own privacy,Girls go through a lot of changes and they don't want their brothers to be there while these things are going on,such as body changes and periods.I understand that the 2 bedroom house is all the parents have but I don't see any reason why the brother couldn't sleep on the couch.Just my thoughts.

Although not generally accepted because of the so called "TABOOS" there is really nothing wrong with sleeping in the same room or bed with a brother or sister of any age.

Many cultures in the past and even now several families live and sleep in the same room and bed. They see and hear parents and married or even unmarried siblings sleeping together and even making noises common with sex. Nothing is thought or concerned about it.

It is only in the so called "Western Christian Society" that people have any problems with teens of both sexes sleeping together. Only "religious taboos" make a big deal of it.

If your parents are not concerned and it doesn't bother you or your brother/sister than don't worry about it...it is actually quite common...

Just the hypocritical bigots make people into sinners that are not sinners.

i do no longer see a concern. Its purely for holiday. My brother is nineteen and im 20 and if we went on holiday we'd sleep in an identical mattress if we had to. Its basically sleep. My sixteen twelve months old cousin and that i shared a mattress on holiday whilst i became into 14, its heavily basically sleep. There are a lot of families worldwide huge that have babies or maybe entire families sharing beds.

Almost everyone here, including you, has a perverted mind. There is nothing wrong with that, period. Now if you said they slept in the same bed and were constantly fooling around and experimenting, then it would be wise to separate them. But you didn't and THAT is what everyone is thinking.

Is it perhaps they are thinking that because they know they would do that if it were them? Perverts. No wonder there are so many sex crimes out there. With these kind of odds, there's bound to be a few that act on those thoughts.

maybe that is the best the parents can do is have a two bedroom house i dont see anything wrong with it i am sure if you didnt judge them then you would see nothing wrong with it unless you automatically assume they are having relations which is probably not the case

That is not acceptable, one of them should take a pallet on the floor or put in two smaller beds/ cots. Unless the ceiling is 5 feet tall its not too small for bunk beds. There is no reason one of them can't take the couch or put a pallet in the living room. For the idiot who answered just before me, studies show that it is unhealthy for opposite sex siblings to share close quarters, it retards their social/ sexual development.

It's not ideal, that's for sure. I guess if you really are that poor, you just gotta do what you gotta do. The kids would probably rather share a bed that have to sleep on the floor in the kitchen or something.

It's not really up to me to decide that what someone else is doing to survive is wrong unless I'm willing to help them.

no that's not right. They are growing young adults being introduced to life, sex, etc. They don't need to be in the same bed wheter they are siblings are not. If it was my decision, brother needs to make a spot in the living room on the couch or floor. It will teach them respect and values as they mature into grow adults

Relax all ye rich people.....if all a family can afford is one room then why judge. The bro should probably let the sister keep the room and he move to the couch.
