Hold on though!!

Your voltage won't be 12 VDC it'll be more like 17 VDC. To figure what your resulting voltage will be take the ACTUAL measured voltage and multiply it by 1.414.

Besides the four diodes for full wave rectification, you'll also need a capacitor. A 2200 uF @ 30 volts would be fine. Without the cap, you'd have pulsating DC.

The diode bridge will be determined by the amps the supply delivers as well.

yes, or you can make your own with 4 diodes. You can get them at an electronics supply store or on-line mail order electronics supply houses. The size you need will based on the current you wish to draw.
