Republicans think for themselves, sometimes making choices unpopular to others.
Democrats believe & follow the press blindly. They hate & disagree with anyone not Democrat. No thought needed.

Republicans display false patriotism, liberals portray good decent hardworking Americans and can tell the difference between a fake and a false leader. Republicans are for the wealthy Americans, Democrats for the blue collar workers. Republicans are against helping the poor in America, Democrats stand for programs that help the poor. Republicans complain about spending too much tax payer money, Democrats say that taxpayer money belongs to Americans. Republicans like to spend money overseas and not in America, Democrats want to spend money here and the hell with other countries. Republicans put on a big show, Democrats get the job done!

You are mixing two terms. In other words, you saying what is the difference between an apple and a green apple. The correct question should be either what is the difference between a Democrat and a Republican? Or, conversely, what is the difference between a Liberal and a Conservative?

Republicans favor policy that helps the rich, Liberals favor policy that helps the working class. It is that simple.
One other thing, Republicans have no compassion, they also lack any kind of real understanding of most issues. They love the lie and even more love the liar, Bush.

It's a small "R", people! A republican is one who espouses a republic (representative) for of government. The US is really more of a republic than a democracy, so every elected offical is a republican and so are those of us who believe in our republic system.

A liberal is someone who espouses ::gasp:: progressive social reform, civil liberties and tolerance.

So a liberal republican is about perfect...

Well for one thing, Republican is a party, and liberal is just the way someone belives things and how they consider themself. There can be liberal Republicans and conservative Democrats. The major difference in Republicans and Democrats, is most importantly taxes and the economy and how money is used.

In Britain the parties are called Liberal and Conservative.

Most politicians come from some sort of money, what makes them a liberal or a conservative is how they deal with the guilt they feel for having more than their fellow citizens. Liberals want to distribute their wealth to others and Conservatives want other to earn their own money. It gets more complicated from their, but that is the most basic difference.

I think you mean the difference between conservative and liberal. The answer is conservatism relies on you knowledge of things,liberalism relies on your ignorance of them.
