I did that once with 50p. Sure that's not as exciting, but the table was about to close and I had just cashed out. I had one chip left and I placed it on black 17.

The croupier laughed and said, "Yeah right."

He spun the wheel and it landed on black 17. Too bad it wasn't £50.

Since this happened 17 black has always been my favorite roulette number. So I recommend that one to you.

don't bet one number that's just giving your money to the house.Bet a section of the wheel. The tiers section is the most popular and easiest, it covers the bottom section of the wheel. You can lay out a six piece bet to get 17 pieces back. Are you doing this just for fun or do you want to make money? If you've got loads of cash and just doing it for a laugh I say no# 23. It's one of my favourite numbers and apparently it also has some mystical powers or some crap like that. That's why Beckham picked it when he moved to Real Madrid.
Now if you want make some money. If you place £25 on say the 1st and 2nd dozen, or any combination, you're actually odds on to win. You would make £25 profit.
Hope that helps.

The best odds in roulette is to find a single zero table. That cuts the casino's odds in half.
