I have a phobia of cheeses with holes in it such as Emmental.Its totally bizarre and I have no idea what caused it. Also butter with deep holes in it so now I dont eat butter at all. Apparently a phobia of buttons is very common and could simply be that someone told him he may choke and die if he had been chewing them.

My friend's phobia is Balloons, she is terrified of them and would not stay at parties or weddings where there are balloons, even at Macdonald's as soon as she sees a child whith a balloon she leaves! i also know someone who doesn't like touching buttons on clothing etc,so i'm sure your son's phobia isn't so strange!

I have a real phobia of large groups of birds, and I don't know if it qualifies, but i absolutely hate monkeys. Gorillas are fine, just those monkeys people dress in clothes. They really creep me out

My friend has a phobia of cotton balls !! And my boyfriend has a phobia of foam... neither of which bother me, but I hate spiders!

you should be so lucky that your son is into buttons...my daughter used to collect garbage on the street and playground and hide it in her room and all her pockets...she eventually grew out of it, but not until I sewn up all her pockets..sound mean but it worked.we all suffer from a certain degree of OCD.

And I thought I was the only one in the world, mine is that to I can't even type the word. they make my skin crawl. easier if they are attached but as soon as they are lose I've had it.
