he probably is mad at you for some reason
keep trying every day and he'll start again
if you see him just laying there, he may be sick or not feeling well.

What do you mean by a little ticked? I know its easy to get annoyed when your dog wont do what you want but remember its a DOG at the end of the day not a clown. he/She's life shouldn't revolve around performing tricks for you.

My dog will only fetch things when she feels like it. I don't feel that I can get annoyed when she won't fetch.. I don't always give her treats and walks every time she wants them.
