I've had a burning and itching on my skin above my genetalia for several months, no rash. Just burning and itching.
My doctor diagnosed it as Candidiasis (without scraping or doing any add'l lab work) and prescribed a couple of different creams and they seemed to help, but they didn't resolve the issue.
I recently started on a tablet form of Nirozal (I'm on my 8th day). One a day, 200mg per day and the issue doesn''t seem to be getting better. I also apply a medicated baby powder on the area 3 times a day to absorb some of the moisture.
Has anyone been in this same boat? I'm getting frustrated at the situation and don't know what else to do.

I suggest treating it internally with the all-natural supplement Optiflora. Optiflora with treat the cause rather than just the symptoms as most meds do.
This two-product system uses new technology to protect beneficial microflora during the rigors of shipping, storage, and the acidic journey through your stomach. Other products claim live microflora at the time of manufacture. Optiflora guarantees the delivery of live microflora to your intestines.
This two-product system includes Probiotic (Bifidus & Acidophilus...microflora) + Prebiotic (FOS...food source for microflora). Patented guaranteed delivery of 500 million microflora to intestines.
Has helped many others with this condition.
Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions or for the website.

Your doctor is following the correct protocol. But, it would be helpful if he/ she taken a sample of the discharge. It is very easy to diagnose Candidiasis using a microscope. There is no special prep you just smear the discharge on to a glass slide and look for the Candida spores. I am not sure why your doctor neglected to do one. But, you might want to press your doctor to do one.
Did you doctor recommend you eat some yogurt? The male and female genital areas are not sterile, which is absolutely normal. The area is usually occupied with bacteria and fungus. Both compete to survive. Because of the competition, neither one predominates and flourishes. However, if one of them were able to predominate over the other then it will rapidly grow and lead to an infection. The latter explains why women who are on antibiotics develop fungal infections. The antibiotics kills the bacteria but does not affect fungus. Therefore, without any competition, the fungus grows rapidly and leads to an infection. In cases like these, doctors recommend patients eat yogurt. Yogurt is filled with bacteria, which is not harmful to the human body. Once bacteria returns to the genital area, the fungal infection resolves. You might want to try eating some yogurt for a couple of days and see if it helps.
It seems like your current treatment isn't work. Don't be timid and ask your doctor to do a more in depth examination and workup. Ask for cervical exam and some blood work to rule out any other infections. If your doctor is a family medicine or Internal medicine physician then you can ask to be seen by a gynecologist. Certain family medicine and Internal medicine doctors feel comfortable treating gynecological disorders but others are not. A gynecologist has much more experience and training.

Esophageal candidiasis is simply a yeast infection in your throat. Yeast is a normal part of the human skin, mouth and other mucosal surfaces, but sometimes it gets out of balance because of illness or use of certain prescription drugs like inhaled or oral steroids for asthma or other diseases. Does that help?

Yes, go to the local CVS pharmacy and ask for Clotrymozole ointment. or cream (cream is better if they have it) It is sold in the athlete's foot section. It used to be by prescription only and now is over the counter. Not too expensive and it works wonders. Takes about four days.

This is not an unusual symptom when one shaves the area.. you don't mention whether this is involved... another consideration is folliculities.Your description is quite inadequate, for any further guesses.
Apparently is not candidiasis.. but need another opinion to garner a good diagnosis.

When boredom, depression, or maybe stress causes cravings, find a nonfood way to meet them such as going on a walk, calling a friend, having a bath, reading a book, as well as doing some yoga.
