If bush 1 hadn't cut and run in Iraq 1 maybe we wouldn't be in this mess now.
Speaking against a president is not only a constitutional right its necessary for a free democracy.
Gore was vice president under one of our most successfull periods in history, and kerry is a decorated veteran unlike the coward bush.
Speaking out against what this country does is not saying you don't love it its the oppostite you want to make it better by correcting the wrongs in it.
Support only when its earned so far nothing has been earned by Bush.
Always support the troops they didn't get us into this war.
Every politician is soft on immigration including bush.
Democrats put out plans all the time but repubs deny it and come away saying they have no plan health care for everybody was a democratic plan then the repubs take it and give us the lousy program they just released and say see the dems have no plan we gave you the health plan the insurance companys love. The dems come out with plans all the time but untill the repubs can figure out how to have there friends make money off of it they deny it.

relies upon on the guy i assume, in the event that they seem to be a 'rank and document' republican then confident, they could in all possibility say those issues, yet I for one attempt to steer away from such conversations with 'rank and document' anybody, because of the fact they are able to't think of for themselves and don't distinguish between the candidate and the celebration, the ideology and the act.

1: "Democrats will "cut and run", they have no backbone to defend this country. I.e. democrats are anti-war.

Ever hear of FDR (fought WWII); LBJ (refused to leave Vietnam, even though now Bush is doing the same thing); Didn't John Kerry actually fight in Vietnam, not fight to stay out of Vietnam?

"Being Anti-Bush is unpatriotic"

"when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." Thomas Jefferson, Declaration of Independence.

Translation - the founding document of our nation holds that it is the right and duty of every American to fight against any government action he deems wrong.

What is wrong with supporting our troops? As to the rest of the so called "common responses," I have never heard any of these broad generalizations used as a response by any Republicans. Your argment epitomizes the very meaning of a straw man argument. Perhaps you should look it up.

"Democrats are soft on immigration"

Not a myth.

"Being Anti-Bush is unpatriotic"
"We should support the President, because he is the President, regardless of what he does."

No one ever claimed this.
------------------------------------------
"Bush is bad but Gore and Kerry would have been worst"
I never said bush was bad.
------------------------------------------
"Support the troops"

I though Democrats said they support the troops.

"Democrats have no plan"

If they have one, why won't they tell us what it is?

"We should support the President, because he is the President, regardless of what he does."

Well, Sir, did you support President Clinton? Or is what you are really saying "We should support the President if he is of our Party, beacuse he is the President, regardless of what he does."

NOTE: See what is happening, they have turned us against each other. They have made us suspicious of each other (is he a terrorist, he looks like one. He's a freakin' Rabbi, Dude.)

and they have blinded us -- they would put an ad on TV about how cool beer is -- have one and relax and let us do what we want to.

1. Call them names.
2. Whine that bush stole the election even though there is no evidence.
3. post silly questions about how to "debunk" other questions rather than attempt to rationally answer the questions

Thanks to J T I don't need to answer - or should I say thanks to Thomas Jefferson and those others who stated the obvious - when the government is wrong it is not only patriotic it is our duty if we love our country to try to correct the wrongs being done in our names.
