too much salt or sodium in your diet can make you retain water. Ask your Dr 1st but beginning an exercise program would be helpful for you.

Too much sodium in the diet can make you retain water. Even if you don't add salt at the table, remember many food already has salt added. I know it sounds weird but drinking more water can help to flush out the water you are retaining.

Cut down on your salt/sodium intake. Look at the labels. Most everything has sodium in it. I retain water too.

Salt can be a problem as well, foods with a lot of sodium. Try drinking a lot of water everyday.
