I've had a D200 myself for a few months and I couldn't be happier. I'll probably get a D80 as a backup

registrations001's comparison is great. The only thing not included is the fact that the D200 uses compactflash cards and the D80 uses SD cards. You can get larger capacity CF cards, thus more photo storage with the D200 compared to the D80 and SD cards. Go for the D200 if you shoot any action shots (5 frames per second vs 3). If you aren't going to make huge prints, save some money and buy the D70s (you don't need 10 megapixels for casual shooting). The D80 seems nice, but I'd rather have the speed and build quality of the D200 if you need the extra megapixels.

If you have the $$$, get the D200. I agree with the above comments saying essentially the same thing. I have a D70s and a D200 and I barely remember what the D70s does. I use it for macro only (98% anyhow) and have forgotten what features it has. The D200 blows it away. The D80 will be nice, I am sure, but the D200 is built to last until you get tired of it. If ever.
