I don't know if it can be clinically classed as an addiction. But anything can be overdone. The question to ask is "Is this activity interfering with my life and impacting negatively on it?" If the answer is no, then you're fine.

Things that are positive can also become addictions - work, internet, exercise, relationships, etc.
Addiction to exercise is part of the eating disorder called anorexia.

It's not the exercising so much, but the burning of calories. For instance, if you eat 500 calories a person may have an impulse to burn the 500. And then they eat 600 and burn 600, and so on.

It can be a problem in a few ways such as if you are causing any physical damage to your body by not resting your body when needed, if you are neglecting your relationships to the point that a person cannot rely on you or if you exercise interferes with your work.
