It can definately be wrong...do you know what the scientific test is...if they can see the penis or not...thats how they tell and there have been many doctors who have been wrong. Most doctors wont even guess because they can be wrong. At 4 months, I would think it would be difficult to tell or not. Especially since its so small at that time. I would wait until later on like 6 or 7 months...that way by then the baby will be bigger and you can definatly tell..i know its hard. I was counting down for both of my kids to 6 months so we could find out what we were having. The military will not tell you so I had to beg the doctors to guess for me....Thankfully they were right!! Good luck!

Hi, yeah it can be wrong but mine was right. I had a boy. BUT i saw this thing on tv the other day and they reckon its 10 out of 10 for accuracy.
You get the females ring off her finger and string it through a necklace. Hold it above her belly very still and it will move in circles for a boy and side to side for a girl. Supposed to be very accurate i think its called pre birth communication or something like that, you should give it a try! Hope it makes sense anyway and good luck with your baby = )
OH and by the way, type into Google, Chinese gender chart. It will give you a chart the you look up the age of the female and month of conception and tell you what the babys sex might be. Its very accurate too. Everyone i know has done it and it has been right for everyone.

My daughter was suppossed to be a boy....but no surprise there! The easiest way to tell is how the baby is carried.....If the baby is high(like under the ribs) then it is most likely a girl. If the baby is lower(more in the pelvis region) then it is most likely a boy. This has been fool-proof for my family and friends that have had babies. It is best to wait until like 6-7 months to determine...at 4 months, the baby is still not beg enough to take up the whole abdomen area. Good Luck with the new arrival!

Exactly what type of prenatal test are you talking about? There are many different types. Certain tests will reveal the sex of the foetus with 100% accuracy, but they are only performed in cases of possible inherited genetic abnormality or possibility of abnormal foetal development, because invasive tests carry some risk of damaging the foetus or triggering spontaneous abortion. The purpose of DNA/sex testing a foetus is to decide whether termination should be considered, not simply to let parents know what clothes they should buy in advance or what color to paint the babies room. Any test that revels the sex of a foetus with 100% accuracy opens the Pandora’s box of abortion based solely on the sex of the foetus and not its medical condition.

Oh yeah it can be wrong. A friend of mine and his wife were told they were having a baby girl probably around the 4th month, next thing you know.. delivery day comes and out pops a baby boy! They were a little surprised to say the least but of course my buddy was ecstatic ( so was his wife) ... then reality hit him .... his boy had no boy clothes. The little dresses and outfits they had been buying for the past 6 months weren't gonna happen. Luckily the nursery was a gender friendly colour and theme.... so... word of advice don't bank on anything.

Most doctors can tell and get the most accurate results when the patient is in their 5th month. But if your real anxious about this, search some things on the net on how to tell what your having like old wise tells. They were all correct for me. One of them was if the woman's pee is a brighter yellow, kind of neon, then it is a boy but if her pee is a little on the darker side and kind of dull then it is a girl. Worked for me along with a few other ones! Check them out and also, search the Chinese Gender Calanders out. Those are usually pretty accurate too. Good luck :)

Yes it can be wrong because not all babies develop at the same rate. The 4th month is given as a "point of reference" rather than an actual deciding factor. If you want to know percentage of accuracy you have to speak with your doctor on that.

Depends if the doctor said it's a girl they can be missing the little unit but if they say it's a boy they are usually right because they saw something extra

My sister in law was told that her first child was a boy! They even showed her the "boy parts" in the ultrasound! When the baby came out SURPRISE it was a girl! So anything is possible!

Did you have an ultrasound? If so, then yes, it could absolutely be wrong. I don't know what the percentage of accuracy is, but I do know that it isn't 100%!
