I'm interested in finding reference material, both online and other, for researching the price of everything from food to clothing and commodites in Victorian Britian. Looking for prices in 1850 but could make use of data from earlier or later years within the range of 1800 to 1900.

The best source of general information that I know of is 'The Army and Navy Stores Catalogue'. This was produced for the benefit of men in the services overseas (not in Britain) and it carried every imaginable thing that they might need to order to equip and supply their homes in 'foreign parts'
Facsimile copies of some issues can be found in good libraries but I can't find any readable copies on the net.
I have an 1857 book 'A Manual of Domestic Economy' by J.H. Walsh, FRCS which gives most of the information that you require and lots that you never thought of! The trouble is, that it's in my house, not on the web. Sorry.
