There shouldn't be any serious effects; although pet foods are made with lower grades of ingredients than what is sold for human consumption, they are still edible and generally don't contain anything harmful to humans. That being said, if the cat cookies you're eating advertise they help with hairballs, for instances, you may find certain digestive... er, EFFECTS, because they're designed to lube up your cat and help her pass hair before it clumps into a hairball. Also, since cats are exclusively carnivores, I wouldn't make a steady diet of cat food, because it won't have the vitamins and minerals we get from vegetable matter that you need because your body doesn't produce them itself like a cat's does.
I ate a dog biscuit once... tasted pretty nasty, quite frankly, so I really can't imagine a cat cookie tasting much better, but if it tastes good to you, enjoy.

If you eat Bologna and hot dogs you're OK eating a lower grade of ingredients, so cat food shouldn't bother you.

well i doubt it is better and they are simply not required to be made to human standards of cleanliness and purity because an animals stomach has more of what it takes to fight off food borne germs since they are used to mice and birds etc.

i dunno..that's weird..but i heard if male cats eat dry food only their entire lives..something in the food will crystalize in their penis's and cause them problems...interesting!!
