I painted my baby's nursery. The doctor told me to be sure to have windows open and good ventilation. The big fear used to be from scraping or applying old lead based paint. If you have to scrape the old stuff off, unless you know it is fairly new paint, I would suggest having someone else do it. Otherwise, you should be ok with fans.

ARE the fumes going to hurt the unborn baby? If they're bothering you, then they're bothering the baby. Make sure the room is WELL ventilated.

Yes and no.. If I was in your shoes, I would NOT take a chance without wearing a mask. Why I say yes and no is that such fumes affects different people differently. Thus.. I would NOT take a chance.

It is probably not too good for you, but if you have windows open and fans on and dont stay in there too long you will probably be okay. Happy Painting.

It depends on the base, but don't screw around. Have it done, leave a window open and close the door, it's not worth the risk.
