you should cook it to kill the germs and then try this recipe and God bless you too =)

1 lb. crab meat
1 (8 oz.) sour cream
1 sm. can mushrooms
1 stick butter
1 stack Ritz or Town House crackers
Salt, pepper, garlic, salt, parsley

Place fish in 8 inch square pan. Melt butter, add sour cream and stir well. Add seasonings and stir again. Pour over fish. Roll the crackers to make fine crumbs and place over fish and sour cream mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

and you can try this too,

INGREDIENTS:
8 ounces lump crab meat
1/4 cup finely chopped celery
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 small clove garlic, finely minced, or dash garlic powder
1 tablespoon finely chopped red bell pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 1/2 teaspoons Creole seasoning
4 tablespoons butter

PREPARATION:
Rinse and pick over crab meat, discarding any pieces of shell or cartilage. Try to leave lumps as large as possible. Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over low heat; slowly saute finely diced onion, celery, red pepper, and garlic until tender.

Whisk egg in bowl; add mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and Creole seasoning. Combine with sauteed vegetables and soft bread crumbs, mixing well. Add the crab meat and form into loose patties; place on waxed paper-lined plate. Refrigerate for about 1 hour, or until firm. Heat remaining 4 tablespoons butter in large skillet over medium-low heat. Gently place crab cakes in skillet and cook for about 5 minutes. Turn and cook for 4 to 5 minutes longer, until cooked through. Serve with a remoulade sauce or tartar sauce. Serves 4.

imitation crab is not the same as lump crab meat. In fact imitation crab doesn't even come from a crab- it is a kind of white fish and it is cooked processed and formed. It does not need to be cooked to use in a salad, and personally I'm not a big fan of the imitation stuff so I have no recipes for you.

imitation crab tastes great in a salad. You can just open the wrapper and eat it right away without cooking it. You could again put it into a salad with slices of egg. You could also put it into ramen to add flavor. It's not my favorite and nothing beats the real crab meat. But imitation is a good substitute.

Just sending you a bit of health information here, I don't have any recipe's.

Anything "imitation" is not healthy. Many of the aches, pains, cancer and other medical problems we now face, are caused by ingesting products such as these. Please do you and your family a big favor and eat natural organic foods that are not laced with pesticides or other imitation ingredients.

Here's a website that will help you find better ways of living and eating. God bless you.

No, it's already cooked. The product that you purchased is called surimi. It's usually made from bottom fish.

Surimi is a Japanese word which refers to a food product typically made from white-fleshed fish (such as pollock or hake) that has been pulverized to a paste and attains a rubbery texture when cooked.

Surimi is a much-enjoyed food product in many Asian cultures and is available in many shapes, forms, and textures. The most common surimi product in the Western market is imitation or artificial crab legs. Such a product is often sold as sea legs in America, or seafood sticks in the UK.
