LOL...I love that joke about the woman that said she married Mr. Right...then she found out he's Mr. Right about EVERYTHING!

My Question: How important is it to you to be RIGHT?

Can you let it go or does it get to you to make
your point?

On some subjects I do know I am "right" but cercomstances often make it best to just "let it go".... Now, on the God stuff... I do hold my ground on the basics... but there are plenty of legitimatly debateable issues even there...

hmm... i do have a problem with always wanting to be right, but i'm pretty sure that everyone else does too. it's a nice little thing called pride. it can be bad or good, depending on what personality you have or your reasons for wanting to be right.
i don't think i'm too bent on being right, however. when in an argument, i usually look to the other end of things... like, "what if the person i'm arguing with dies tomorrow and they die thinking i don't love them because of the last angry word i said to them?"
on the other hand, though, there are times that i'm talking about something and i really do think i have a very valid point, but the person doesn't want to hear me out or even admit that it can go both ways. it really aggravates me sometimes how stubborn people can be when i've tried so hard to be open minded to their side of the story.
so i suppose in answer to your question, i'd say, "i don't think being right is important, but i would like for someone to agree with me once in a while on things..."

I'm a libra, so justice, fairness and equality mean everything to me.

I'm also usually right.....usually I say. I was wrong just recently about whether we already had a bottle of shampoo on reserve. But that's it.

I don't believe in beating dead horses, and I'm not big on crowing.....but it does bug me when someone thinks I'm wrong. I'm usually able to let it go. Sometimes it takes quite a while though!

But if I am wrrrr....wrrrr......wrrrr.... not right, I have no problem admitting it. I usually get a good laugh out of it too.

This s wrong. No one is perfect as we r a human beings . We did bad things and ask for God's forgiveness as we do good things and ask for God's acceptance.

I pick my battles. It's not necesssary to win every single one, just the war. Still, we must always ask ourselves, "Is this the hill I want to die upon?"

Thanks for asking. It's a good question.

it depends on the issue. if it is spiritual and someone is countering my point, i HAVE to get my point across. other than that, i can just let it go.

Only Allah is perfect, but we must try...that is the purpose of life.
