I've posted a question before, people were in a mild uproar about it. Here it is , fell free to read it if you choose http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AgOtaFuuy.639mvrFCt.ejHsy6IX?qid=20060906154055AA2oMlZ. But thats not what I'm really asking. So don't answer that question.

I will freely admit I'm a cold person. I can be kind at time and generous. I do hold door open for people and say thank you. I can seem distance at times, but does that really make me a ignorant person. But it is Logical if you really think about it.

But does this make me a bad person, not really caring for others, Isn't it really a dog it dog world? Live or be Killed. Don't only the strong survive, or should survive? Am I borderline Sociopathic? Are do I just need to let God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit in my life?

Am I lost sheep, have I departed from the herd?

It is a dog eat dog world out there. But are you sociopathic because you are cold and not really caring for others? I would have to say no. You are not a bad person if you leave yourself to your own devices. However, if your coldness and lack of care for fellow man caused you to do something to hurt your fellow man, that wouldnt be living the golden rule of TREAT OTHERS HOW YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE TREATED.

Look on the bright side - at least you dont go around pretending to believe in something and then living by that belief's simple tenents - like the majority of the followers do...

Hah! Well, yes, you do need to let God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit into your life, but that won't automatically change you over night. You sound like you possess the qualities of good character, but that alone does not allow you access to Heaven. Yes, it is a dog eat dog world, unfortunately that's how the game is set up. Do only the strong survive? Yes as well, but I consider someone strong to be spiritually strong, not strong as in power over other people or things. In my opinion, people tend to become "cold" as a result of having some kindness or generosity turned away. It certainly doesn't make you a bad person because you choose to play your cards close to your chest. And only you know whether or not you are a "lost" sheep. Certainly you've been told about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It's up to you to take the next step and accept the sacrifice that He made for you and everyone else when he gave His life on the cross. Your sins will be forgiven and your life will take on greater meaning as you endeavor learn your place in the universe and make your personal impact.

No, man made the saying only the strong survive. God told us that the meek shall inherit the Earth. Your lifestyle might be good for this temporary life on Earth but if you decide to live according to God while you are on Earth then your Eternity will be 100 times better. If you are not in relationship with God, then yes you are lost. Jesus is the good sherperd and the good sherperd looks after his sheep and you won't get lost ever again if you follow God and do right. If you want to be saved you need to first admit your spiritual need, tell God "I am a sinner". Then you need to believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross to take away your sins. After that, repent and be willing to turn from your sins. And, finally receive, through prayer, Jesus Christ into your heart and life. God Bless you.

Well, being a christian is NOT going to make you a better person or save you from being a sociopath, assuming you are one.

Many christians have said that the only way to heaven is by believing in jesus - or something like that. And that good deeds mean nothing.

So if you want to be a better person, you should look elsewhere.

If you're looking for religion, you've come to .... well, a place. Not sure it's the right one, but there are many here who would be eager to snag you.

It is the strong in Jesus who survives in the end, and you dont' have to be so distant with others to achieve this either. IT's ok to be a good kind person and not carry a chip on your shoulder by being a cold person. No one person ever started out like that. And no one person has to remain like that either. Jesus can show you how to achieve what you need in life with out being such a cold person. We are to love one another the way God loves us.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

Try it, you just might be surprised and the wonderful doors of life that will be opened to you.

Kevin,

How many times are you going to ask this question? Either you aren't reading the responses or you don't understand them. If it's the first then you're being obnoxious, and if it's the second then you need more help than you will find here. Print out these questions and take them to a school counselor, your pastor, a psychotherapist, or your doctor to find out the answers you're seeking. You don't sound like a bad guy, but you've focused on a tiny aspect of the competition of the world with out noticing the compassion. Go get help to get yourself unstuck.

The third paragraph of your question follws almost directly the basic principle of Santanism i.e. only the strong shall survive. You should check out tthe Satanic Bible it's an interesting read and decide for yourself where you need to go. The way you are feeling now is natural and follows basic human emotions. All the other things are taught to you.

You are never lost if you follow the path you choose.

My thought is this - what goes around, comes around. If you want to be cold, distant and somewhat uncaring then that is how others will treat you overall. As long as you don't physically or emotionally harm another person, then you are what you are and should be accepted for that. You don't have to accept Jesus or any other spiritual leader into your life if you don't want to, but it probably wouldn't hurt if you do want to change. However, you should explore different beliefs to find the one that fits you spiritually.

Borderline sociopath? I think you crossed over the border some time ago. It would probably be a good idea for you... and for the rest of the people with 100 miles of you... if you were to present yourself at the front desk of the nearest State Farm for the Funny, and ask them if you could live there for the rest of your life.

Good luck with that.

wants the point in living if it's just to live. your life i guess would be rather empty and you will never feel that happiness with others if you don't care about them. it doesn't make you bad, but it does deprive you of what can happen. Remember the saddest words of tongue and pen are these, it could have been.
