In today's world we are expected to make our own living, pay for everything ourselves, drive ourselves everywhere, raise children alone, and have our "own lives". Guys don't want to come to your rescue or be there to protect you. So what is their purpose if we have to do everything ourselves? And as far as sex is concerned, can't we do that ourselves too?

I am by no means a feminist. I am the oppposite and believe in traditional values but it doesn't seem that men do. As far as all the things men do like fix cars and stuff , well I have never met a guy who would do anything for me. Heck my exhusband wouldn't even give me a ride home from the store when it was raining and flooded or carry the groceries in when I was pregnant. Completely useless.

Some of us (like me!) do want to come to your rescue. Wait for someone who does want to come to your rescue.

lol sounds like you have some hurt feelings towards men. Not every man is like that. I help my wife, and driver her everywhere, and she doesnt have sex along, and we raise our children together, and our lives our together not apart. so not every man is like that. you are just looking in the wrong places. Dont settle with the first man that says I love you and then gets you in bed. There are guys out there that love you just for you who you are, and will put you on a pettlestool.

Absolutely, and in most cases we are much better off without them!! But they did it to themselves, men are so lazy and selfish when it comes to relationships that they make themselves just one more thing we have to tolerate and when it all gets to be too much and you start looking around for ways to simplify they are the thing that can eliminate the biggest headache and the thing you don't really need to keep. You gotta take care of the kids, you gotta work, you gotta take care of the house, you gotta take care of yourself so they are the best choice for streamlining your life...thats their fault and their doing though. If your man truly added something to your life, truly helped in your days that wouldn't be the case but they don't bother to be those things so good riddance to them! For sex we have vibrators or come on lets face it, its not really a challenge to find a guy to have sex with and then get rid of! Even if its just for the occasional reminder of how useless they really are! LOL!

There is a difference between being dependent on someone and depending on them. A woman shouldn't be dependent on a man, but it is gratifying to be able to depend on him when the need arises. Maybe the guys you know feel like you don't need them because you're so self-sufficient. You can be capable and vulnerable, too. It's OK.

Just as much as women are not needed.
guys that are there for you get slapped down and riped off for their efforts. guys that do all that turn in to week geeks with wife's that cheat on them then are divorced and lose everything they made.

As soon as they make a baby growing machine woman are obsolete.

not the world I want to live in. I want my wife and I to continue to live out our goals together. not just what I want but what we want

Well, you women took all our high paying jobs so we can't afford to keep you home. And well, you are the ones that want to do everything by yourselves......

So, us guys pretty much let you do it all, while we sit on the couch and watch the GAME. By the way, can you get a beer for me out of the fridge, hun?

it depends on which version you have, some versions (3.0 and above may be obsolete)

some versions remain the main providers for their family and do the husbanding and fathering (including protecting and rescuing)

you need to be careful not to get stuck with one of those obsolete or inadequate versions (as you point out, they aren't worth much)

can you fix your car when it breaks down? Will you smash that spider in the bath tub? And do you really think your "toys" can do what I do as well as I can? How will women have babies without our participation? And who would smack ya on the butt and tell you your pretty ? silly feminist.

we do live in a world of self-sufficiency. basically you can do everything for yourself. I mean we don't NEED men- which is great- but I kinda like having them around anyway. sometimes i get sick of girl drama and would rather just hang out with the boys...
