Well, because if they didn't have them on there they would probably get sued by some jerk who cliamed she got injured. If the directions are there and she didn't follow them properly, she doesnt' have a case.

The 1-800 number are for problems after using their product like allergic reactions. Believe it or not some people do not know how to shampoo their hair correctly. I found out today on Yahoo answers that a female shampooed her hair with conditioner. Now tell me what is that all about?

I personally enjoy reading the instructions on shampoo...some companies get all creative and poetic. Some are just boring, but I still like to read them because I always seem to have to do more than one thing at once (reading and washing!)

As for the questions/comments things...maybe it is to include very lonely people?

I guess there are people out there that will try to use it as a body wash and not put it where it belongs LOL I don't know just trying to give a good answer and some food of thought because this is a very good question. I hope that I have helped.

The same reason why there are instructions not to use a curling iron while you're sleeping!!!!!!...duh can you imagine that? Because the companies have to protect themselves from the silly lawsuits that seem to be the norm nowadays.

They want you to lather, rinse, and repeat. That way you use more shampoo and have to buy it more often. I don't know why the 800-number. For complaints maybe.

I liked that joke better when it was done by a little show called
Seinfeld.

Thats like asking "why do we park in a driveway, and drive on a parkway?"

the instructions on any commodity are to cover that company. believe it or not but some people are slightly dim[stupid].instructions are so people don't take them to court.
