I would say that this is not Biblical, and your professor is a pompous a$$ and should stop speaking for God.

Yes He does care! Is your professor a Theologian? Did he provide a Biblical reference to prove this point? Your body is the temple of God, the place where the Holy Ghost resides. It is not to be used for anything that is offensive in nature or sinful.
Sexual works of the flesh include:
Adultery, fornication, immorality, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
homosexuality

What class was this in? Philosophy? Biology? What was the basis of his statement.
If you created a work of art (God created man in his own image, obviously he didn't do that as a passing thought); if it was something that you were really proud of, would you care about what was done with it or how it is treated? Your genitalia and part of that body of work.
I guess I would have to wonder about his beliefs in God and his vision of self respect.

But God does.
"If a man lieth with another man, it is an abomination". So God has some degree of concern
