They're both turds.

They're both cheaply made but if I had to choose, I'd go with the Mercury Mariner because it has better styling (the Torrent and Equinox are the same vehicle) and may last longer. I had a really bad experience with a new Pontiac vehicle so I am a little biased. I've never owned a Ford, however, so take my advice with a grain of salt! LOL!

Small SUVs nevertheless primary around 24mpg. they should get better. Camry, Accord, Corolla, Civic in that order are my selections. i admire all 4 of those from 2004 up. A Corolla is probable the terrific all around vehicle in the worldwide. The Camry is great at 5mpg much less... Accord is sportier feeling. i admire the luxurious experience of a Camry. The older Lexus ES sequence are great autos. If i became into to purchase new i might get a Honda greater healthful. pass look and force one in the previous you roll your eyes. i became into very greatly surprised by making use of this vehicle. i want some thing to haul a ability wheelchair or scooter in so Toyota Sienna may well be sensible for me. greater healthful, Civic, Corolla all around 38mpg with me driving. i'm elementary on the pedal.

I like the Mariner, very good but Torrent is also a good choice.

I was burned by Ford,Dodge,GM, and Pontiac. Please don't waste your hard earned money on a American Car.
I was proud to be American, but now after owning Mazda,Honda , and Toyota, I will never go back.
