First of all, I would give yourself some credit for even trying out for Annie. Many of us would love to have enough guts to get up in front of people to sign/act/dance, etc, and the fact that you have the courage to do so is wonderful.

It worries me that you're already psyching yourself out, saying that you don't think you will make it. So often our negative thoughts influence us more than we realize. There's a big difference between being optimistic, pessimistic, or realistic. It sounds to me like you're being a bit pessimistic, and this could undermine your confidence level.

Although your confidence may be affected if you don't get the role, don't put too much emhpasis on it. Have something else you're focusing on in the meantime in case things don't work out, and make sure you have things to look forward to around that time so you're not sitting around and dwelling on being dissappointed.

I have been an actress all my life. Won a lot of leads, small parts, and lost a lot!!! Now I'm 50 and direct and cast movies. Just because you don't get cast - don't worry. You can still be a great actress - just didn't "LOOK" the part. We cast on talent and LOOKING THE PART (not necessarily good looking) and scheduling, etc......Don't worry. You can always ask the director to give you constructive critism if you don't get the part. That will help you in the next audition. If you get cast as an "extra" be happy for the experience. If you don't get cast, maybe take some acting classes. Get over the disappointment and start working on the next role you may get in the future. GOOD LUCK!

i am not a psychologist, but what i see you can do is to look at the experiece you encountered. don't look at it like it's the only time you can do it. Face it Annie has been around since the 70's.....It's 2006. Many oppurtunities are always around. Personally i'm simple and as long as i can put my hand over my heart and feel a beat, i'm satisfied. if i didn't feel a beat, i'd actually be amazed cause i'm living to tell about it...... see what i mean turn a negative into a positive and you can feel better

Remember the light bulb wasn't invented on the first try. If we allow disappointment to stop our endeavors, we can never progress. Everyone gets disappointed, don't wallow in it get up and go on to the next thing you want to do.

If you don't get it...don't be too dissapointed...sometimes it is just politics with those places...It doesn't mean you weren't good enough...sometimes it means that they were looking for something in someone that you didn't possess..and if they don't pick you, I hope they bomb LOL...good luck kiddo any way lol
