I understand what you're going through. People are afraid to take on something they are not familiar or comfortable with. Maybe they think you're looking for someone to be a mother to your child/children.
I stayed single until my kids were grown. It was not an easy life but no man wanted to take on two kids either. Truth be told, I didn't want to take on a man(child) at that time either. Now that my kids are grown and I'm on my own, I have found a man who accepts me and my family as his own. It's just the way life goes I suppose. Don't give up, you will find someone and when you do it will be fantastic!

Hey it isn't easy for single mothers either. I should know. Try dating a single woman with a kid or kids. Ones that don't have kids it's more than just a commitment to you. Don't give up, I'm still trying too.

I would have thought that women would jump at the chance to be with a single dad...I guess you just haven't found a woman with a maternal instinct...at least that's how I would have been. I personally love kids and hope to have my own someday soon~
