Why don't you try extensions. Although the red will still show, you will be able to have most of that blonde color you want back.

This will also save your hair form any damage that may occur from stripping the red out.

The two healthiest and best looking options of extensions is Great Legnths, and clip in 'Hair do' extensions.

The clip in extensions are about $80. They can be found at http://www.extensions.com It may even look very cute if you choose the blonde extensions, and blend them with your red hair now. It would be a cool contrast.

You'll have to strip the red out, basically bleaching it then redye it back to a blonde you want. Dont know why you can't dye again. Sally's is a good place to get what you need to strip it, there are some good bleaches that don't contain harsh chemicals. Just be careful, you could end up with orange hair, so make sure its white before proceeding to rinse it out.

You can't dye it back yourself. Red haircolor is one of the hardest colors to remove from hair, along with black. You will have to go to a professional and have them do a color removal. Doing that will remove ALL color from your hair so it will be like a pale yellow, but after they remove all the color they dye your hair the color you want. I did the SAME thing you did. I'm a natural blonde. I dyed it bright red (as you can see in my pic) I really hate it and I want to have the color removed and dyed back blonde.

I was told red is the hardest color to get out of your hair. When I wanted to go back to my natural color I had to have the red stripped from my hair twice, wait a month, and then have it dyed a comparatable shade. I kept cutting it until eventually only my natural shade was left.
