How many of you really can't believe it is not butter??

I can't believe that 'I can't believe it's not butter' is not really butter and that is wot I really believe about I can't believe it's not butter. But it is possible that I can't believe it's not butter is not actually butter and it is believed to be something else instead!

I can't believe it's not butter!!!! It's oleo!!!! It's Oleomargarine!!!!! It's Cows!!!! It's Cows!!!!
A liquid oil made from animal fats (esp. beef fat) by separating the greater portion of the solid fat or stearin, by crystallization. It is mainly a mixture of olein and palmitin with some little stearin.
Oleomargarine is still heavily regulated in the US. Not as heavily as narcotics and hallucinogens, but there are parallels that need airing. In your local market, in the dairy case, besides Butter is an incredible variety of these oleo / butter substitutes. You have to look to find the real thing, but it is there.
The market leader, I Can't Believe it's Not Butter (ICBINB!) folks actually use sweet cream buttermilk in their product to get it to taste close to real butter.
You don't see, "I Can't Believe This Is Slaughtered Cow" or "How Can Something That Tastes This Good Be A Laxative?" I, for one, can believe it's not butter, and I'm not going to stand for it any longer.
But like anything else, Your mileage may vary.

I love "I can't believe it's not butter" but loathe real butter. That must tell you something, mustn't it?

I love my mom question..Thanks for the advise. I wanted to thank you personally. Reading all the answers brought tears to my eyes and a realisation.
