Everyone does it, I just wanted to confirm my "hunch" that it rips your sinus cavities and that it causes them to bleed, which can lead to infections and nose bleeds.

simple 'snorting' to 'suck it up' does not cause rips or bleeds or infections in normal sinus passages! If you already have fragile membranes then that may occur. Infection will occur only if infecton is already present.

No that just goes into down your throat... Gross but it is fact of life but FYI it is better to snort than to blow because if you blow it makes your sinus cavity swell.

Well, do you have nosebleeds? No? Don't worry about it. It will not lead to an infection, only a bunch of your friends and family going, "Eeeeew! That's gross!" LOL!

This is not clearing your sinuses, it is clearing your nose..
It can push mucus up into your sinus, not suck it out..

I would imagine it does irritate your sinuses, and honestly, it sounds pretty gross to anyone sitting around you. Sorry.
