My g/f has the same problem, she's been taking more potassium, seems to help her out more. Get someone to massage your hips at night, that seems to help as well.

Good luck

I don't know what you should take, but I know what you should avoid. Do not take anything from the benzodiazepine family (Valium, Xanax, Klonopin and many others). Yes, it will work ... until you build a tolerance to the drug and then you will face a very difficult withdrawal. If you make it through that, you'll still be stuck with your original problem.

Try Googling "restless leg syndrome". I'll bet you can find some online support groups where the members will have good ideas for you to try.

Good luck and don't give up trying to find a treatment.

See a Doctor, but for me I get that if I am sitting for awhile or not moving the easiest thing to do is to move, walk around for a bit every couple of minutes to aviod it.
