We have a lot in common! I'm 33 years old and in July weighed 200 lbs. Today I am 171. It's hard to know if I'm providing you with the solution you are looking for since I don't know if you exercise or what your eating habits are like. For me, it was a matter of both. I didn't exercise enough and I didn't eat right. I lost my recent weight using the Cambridge Diet. I chose it not only for the fast results (because I am in impatient person) but also for the fact that they encourage behavior modification to help learn to keep the weight off. It's just easy enough to stick with it until you reach your goal weight but just hard enough to make you feel you've really accomplished something. Tastes good and is inexpensive too!

Hi Mike!

You probably want to start out by controlling your calories. Shoot for no more that 2000 calories per day. Try to break this down into five meals of about 400 calories each. Avoid going out to eat, as it will blow a hole into your diet like a torpedo.

Next, stay active. Take stairs instead of escalators, walk instead of drive, play sporting games, Frisbee, golf, go to the batting cages, walk the dog, etc. Cut back on watching sports and go do them. Not to mention, being active is fun!

If you do this, you should start to see progress within the week. This is a good plan for you to get started with. I start many of my clients on this and it works!

I believe this answers your question, but if not, you may email me.

Good luck on your diet and fitness goals!

What are you doing... I think you should walk/run at least 30 minutes aday 5 times a week.. smaller meals.. more veggies and fruit.. cut out salt.. less mayo stuff like that. Watch your carb intake.. dont do any fad diets you will loose some and just pack it back on. Only eat when you are hungry.. chew guy (suagrless) when you are bored and possibly could put something else like food or candy in your mouth!! Good luck..
