After reading the responses the one by chief said it all. UNintelligent not un-intelligence. Since he's into definitions intelligence is defined as deficient in intelligence; dull;or stupid.Ignorance= uninformed or unaware do to or lacking training. As for the rest of that gibberish I think chief is more unintelligent rather than ignorant.

I don't think it's a sign of any sort of intelligence; Ann Coulter once suggested that people should have to take an IQ or some kind of test to determine their competence before voting. This is ridiculous and absurd of course, especially in a presumably free country; but many people do not vote. Some state inconvenience, indifference or whatnot, but I think that it's our civic duty to vote and I'm disappointed more people don't, particularly for president.

Some times it is hard to pick a canididite. Most of the time it comes down to character for me. Yes, I know studies have shown that people with lower IQs tend not to vote but since when has a one-size-fits-all ever worked out or been totally right?

It may not be a sign of intelligence......but more of a sign of ignorance. People who don't vote are ignorant there are other ways to vote one being absent T. You can vote several weeks ahead.Don't give excuses if you don't vote your a fool, don't ***** about the government, and don't use the excuse politicians are all the same. Bottom line is YOUR LAZY.

If you knew your ballot would be thrown in the trash and not ever counted, would you bother spending the hours to vote?

I haven't ever voted for either of the two major political parties. Given the way congressional districting is done, and the way the electoral college system is implemented, that means my vote has literally never been counted. Just as if it had been thrown in the trash.

So, the first step needs to be fixing the system, so that everyone's vote does count. And I consider that a more useful way to spend my time and energy.

Freedom = Ones right to choose with out impossing their beliefs on another, or endangering another.

Does not show un-intelligence, also know as ignorance, it might indicate their unwillingness to effect change on a situation they disagree with, or the lack of knowledge concerning their rights, priviledges and obligations to make our Country the Great Nation that is already is........

Voting is an optional right not a mandatory law. People exercise their freedoms in different ways. Some feel there is no point in voting that the politicians are the same but others feel they make a difference. It is what is important to each individual!

Not necessarily, though I'm sure the lower the IQ, the lower the chance of a person voting. Most people who don't vote just don't believe that their vote really counts for anything.

No, but I think persons using "whom" in a subjective place in the sentence might be unintelligent.

No. Perhaps more people will vote when there is actually a candidate that is worthy of the vote.
