Typically a rose would be sweet. Most reds tend to be on the dry side, either a 0 or a 1 on the sugar scale - the higher the number, the sweeter it is. It's really up to the winemaker to determine how sweet the wine is, it's not limited to one type of grape.

There are some reds out there though that have a higher sugar content, but I'm not really a fan.

Sweetest red wine?? MD 20/20 grape! And, it packs 18% alcohol too!

Could be many, nevertheless a sound piece of advice from my decades of wine-drinking experience: lay off all sweet red wines as even the best guarantee a nasty hangover!

Ports or a late harvest zinfandel. Not white zin but red. The later the grape is left on the vine the more sugar is has & the sweeter the wine becomes.

try Lambrusco (not lambrini) Is italian and has natural bubbles on the label it should say lambrusco dell'Emilia which is the region it originates from. Or you can try Fragolino another italian that leaves you with an aftertaste of strawberry. Incredible but true! try to believe

I don't really favor red wines but I do like Sangria. It is best served cold.

I like Lambrusco and if you feel it is a little too sweet just add a little 7-up to it and make it a spritzer.

try a burgundy- Beaujolais is table wine and pretty sweet.

or just go with the old berenger white zinfandel- a rose but its good with anything
