I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. But cursing may be saying something like "God damnit," whereas swearing would be saying **** damn **** *** **** dickwad vagina licker etc etc etc.

you curse someone or something, while you just swear in general.

curse would be opposite of bless. so an example would be something like "curse you"
It can be defined as "the expression of a wish that misfortune, evil, doom, etc., befall a person, group, etc."

swear would be just taking the name of God in vain, or an abusive word or expletive.
defined as "to make a solemn declaration or affirmation by some sacred being or object, as a deity or the Bible" or more commonly "to use profane oaths or language: Don't swear in front of the children"

Cussing is when you hold your thumb and wiggle your fingers then say some thing like hope you die . Swearing is the use of saying things that offends someone in some way. O K.

Its samantics if you really get down to the words.

Bad words don't bother me. Its what you mean behind the words. If you say Damn that hurts, you don't mean harm on anyone.

Your spirit can curse though. You can gossip about someone, have hate in your heart, be mean. Your actions are the real show of your person, not just your words.

sometimes they can mean the same thing. however, cursing always implies some negative feeling, while swearing does not. swearing can also mean making a vow or oath:

e.g.
"i swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth"
