Long hair has always been considered pretty, and is classically beautiful. However, it can drag down some face shapes (especially long faces) and drown delicate feautures, especially if the hair is thick.
Short hair is harder to pull off and is less forgiving. If you have a large forehead, big nose or a round face, it can emphasise these things. But if you have delicate feautures and a good hairdresser, short hair might show off your pretty features much more than a lonng hairstyle. It's also quicker to style in the morning - although it can get boring after a while, as there's only so much you can do with it.
Midlength is usually considered the best of both worlds - a little extra length to play with but without the high maintenace of long hair. It can be a bit boring sometimes though, as lots of people have this length. If you like to stand out in the crowd, it's probably not for you.
I'd say it depends on your face shape and personality! Just do what you want and wear it with attitude!

Long hair looks better on young women and men like that better. Long hair on older women looks kind of tacky because of the long grey streaks.

Depends on the woman...short is very nice on some, long would be better on others (Susan Powter). Some women look good with no hair....it's all about the individual.

it all depends on who is wearing it........but I will tell you.....sexy is not a look it is an attitude.....it is the whole person
I am mid 30's.....I have been really thin.....I have been overweight.....I have had short hair and also have had very long hair.....sometimes a person just needs to reinvent themselves.....but I have never worried if I were sexy.....I have always been told.....at each time.....it is the attitude the way you carry yourself....the way you make others feel.....

I've had my hair long since I was little. Last night I cut it short, into a shaggy little bob. It's really cute.

Long hair with either a little wave, or long hair up with whispy curls in front!
