Most cases I have known they have been fine.I suppose there may be a risk of lung damage.

ii had whooping cough when I was 4 years old,since then I have always had a cough,when I was 54 the hospital discovered I had bronchiectosis they put it down to the whooping cough it had scarred my right lung ,I am fine now don`t take any medication or visit hospital any more ,in fact it was a relief find ind out what was wrong ,not everyone suffers after whooping cough I suppose I was just one of the unlucky ones ,

I had it when I was 4. I still tend to get coughs now, but nothing major.

i too had it when i was 3 and now i'm 37. no side effects i know of. i ran in the british cross country championships, swam for the county, played rugby for a club.

I had it when I was little. Now Im 51 and as far as I know have no ill effects from it.
