every time i take to dealer they run computer thing and say they cant find anything or tell me i need new gas cap have replaced gas cap 3 times can they go bad that much? Have had nothing but trouble with this truck

Dodge Dakotas have horrible reliability ratings, and there are 9 recalls issued for this vehicle, one of which is for the electrical system. I would make sure the recalls have been taken care of (check with the and if that doesn't take care of things, then sell the vehicle! Buy a Toyota or Honda, and always check Consumer Reports reliability ratings before buying a car. Good luck!
