well yes, most drugs are not going to be out of your system in 12 hours no matter what the drug is. The idea is at least in part that you will make sure not have anything to drink.
I guess if you were really trying to hide something you could find some internet system cleaners that might work in 12 hours, but likely they will be harmful to you, and if it involves putting more chemicals into your body those might show up as well.
12 hours is good notice, if it was 1 week notice, I don't think that would be as random.

Nope, random should be right now. If they haven't done anything wrong then it should not be a problem. I've never done drugs but I've heard people say to use this or drink that to flush the system so the drugs don't show in urine test, why give them the chance.
Looking at some of the other answers I guess twelve hours wouldn't really matter, but I still don't think that you should have a twelve hour warning. Just my opinion.

Yes because those tests will tell if you've done any drugs in the past 72 hours. So 12 hours is not enough time to change the results by keeping off the weed....

Its random because you can't get drugs out of your system in 12 hours. Just gives you plenty of time to drink water!

most definitely. My job has to give me 24 hours notice. There is nothing you can do to hide drugs...Most drug tests are by urine which only tests 30 days...But if they do blood or hair...then youre screwed....

no...random implies NO warning at all.
but I doubt 12 hours is really enough warning for some ;)

no its not random but if youve been using then i would thank my lucky stars for the warning and call in sick - then hope that whatever you used had time to get out of your system - you cant call in sick forever
