Well, technically, and this depends on many factors. Have they already had an adjuster come look at the car? If so, has someone called you to make you an offer on it. Once that is done, you have to send them the title and depends on if there is a lien on it or not. Just went through the same thing. Overall, with trying to get a copy of the title, it took about 3 weeks from the accident take to check in hand. Good luck!

it took months when my wife totalled her car...I'm not sure there is a requirement imposed by the state...
