Christianity is not based on some ideas someone had, but on historical fact. We know for a fact that Jesus lived. No one but the most ignorant biased fool would contest that fact. We know for a fact that Jesus died on a cross. Josephus, a non-Christian historian can verify that for us. We know that many miracles were performed by Jesus, and later by his followers. Much of this can be shown from sources other than the Bible. However, the Bible is our best historical document for all of this. The fact that we even have the Bible at all is a pretty large evidence that it is true. The reason I say this is because the Bible not only talks about incredible miracles, but it was written in the time that they were supposed to happen, and was first distributed amongst those that supposedly witnessed these events. The Bible would have been immediately discarded if these events did not actually happen.

However, the one piece of evidence that truly says that Christianity is the only true religion is the fact that Jesus rose from the grave. Hundreds of witnesses saw him after he rose from the dead, and many witnessed him ascend into heaven. Most of his disciples died for their beliefs, having numerous chances to save their own lives. If what they were saying was a lie, these people would have KNOWN that it was a lie. People don't die for a lie that they know to be a lie.

I am not religious, nor do I claim to be. Although some say I have an overactive imagination, I tend not to believe in things that have not been proven. I also don't think that a higher spirit is the cause of everything; scientific discoveries have proved this many times. Also, if there is someone watching over us, they're not doing a very good job. Global warming, pandemics, and wars are among the many things any supernatural ruler should attend to.
There is no one thing to say to enforce years of religion into a person. You have to have been brought up with it, or perhaps attend temple, Mass, or something like it.

For me, God found me at the end of myself. I was as low as a person could get. At that point I gave myself over to him, confessing with my mouth and believing in my heart on Jesus Christ. And you know what? My spirit knew a difference from that first day. Things were still bad for a while, but God carried me through it and used those experiences to grow me. My life is still not perfect, and won't be as long as I'm on this earth. BUt I have peace now, and I have a new Christ family to love on me when I need it. I have happiness that I didn't have before I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior. God is my Creator, Healer, Counsellor, Savior, Champion, Father, Minister, Teacher, and so much more. He is Holy and I will praise Him until the day He comes for me!

Yes, I do believe in God. And I have no problem telling you I'm a Christian. Why? Because I think all people have a fear that they are so small and unimportant as to be forgotten. The Bible answers that fear for me and gives me incredible peace. It's not a question of just being religious to me. Because I've tried other religions including Buddhism, and Gnosticism and they do no answer the fear no matter how I meditated. So if your fear is like mine I would start with reading Luke 12:22-34.

What is God? All He tells us is that he is God. He is what He is. If He doesn't try and explain Himself, it seem pretty worthless for us to try.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

I think the most famous and used passage of scripture somes it up best. John 3:16-17, For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that shoever believes in Him shall not perish but hae eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. God is anything and everything. I don't think our little minds can fully grasp the concept of the vastness that is God. It is however amazing that a God with all this power loves each one of us for who we are and who we may become.

God is the creator of all things.....including you! Nothing made me "religious". I finally realized one day that I was a sinner and that I couldnt save myself.

I read the book of Romans in the new testament and realized that God loved me so much that he sent his only son to die on the cross for my sins. I asked jesus to come into my heart and forgive me......and he did.

If you are truely looking for answers, try reading an easy to read version of the bible like New living or the new king james version. they are much easier to understand.

I have a personal relationship with jesus. It's not a "religion" as some people like to call it. I have the freedom of praying to a god that is living and that will never leave me.

Romans 10:9 says " For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believeing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

Yes I do believe in God. I can't MAKE you believe in God. But this would be my speech for you.

Basically you should understand and believe these things:
1. Heaven is a free gift-it cannot be earned or deserved.
2. Man is a sinner and cannot save himself.
3. God is merciful and doesn't want to punish us, but He is just so He must punish sin.
4. Jesus Christ was God and Man. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and rose from the grave to purchase a place for us in Heaven.
5. Faith in Jesus Christ is the way to Heaven. This means trusting in Jesus Christ alone for eternal life. Rest on Christ alone and what He has done, not what you can do.

So transfer your trust to Christ, accept Him as your Savior, receive Him as Lord, and repent. If you pray these things to Him you will be saved! :-)

Romans 10:10,13 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. For, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

John 6:47 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.

Luke 15:10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

Just look around you... let your eyes be open to the beauty of Gods creation. Think of how vast the universe is, or... how complex your eye sight. Be open to God and recognize how BIG He is. Now... imagine that he created you with a purpose... that He knows every hair on your head and that He loves you so much as a special part of His fabulous creation that he would sacrifice and give Himself for you, so that you can share an eternity with Him; an eternity of peace, and unbelievable adventure as He reveals and opens up all of His creation to you.

He is an awesome God

Words cannot make you religious, its a heart attitude.

My statement about God would be, "When I needed Him, He was there for me...and has remained ever since. He picked me up out of the gutter, cleaned me off, and made me into a Lady. I love Him for that. No one else in my life cared about me like He did. No one else reached out to me and offered me so much, and delivered so much. I am so grateful that He even noticed me."

God is Spirit. God is a Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is all powerful, all knowing, everywhere present. He is compassionate and merciful, full of love and goodness. Above all He is Holy, that is what causes many not to understand Him.

God is..... Love to all people on earth.

I can't convince you to beleive, nor is it my job to do so, it is your choice.

If you don't understand.

Who, What, Where, when, or how. It's your own fault for not reading, looking, learning, and most of all, understanding.

God is very simple to understand. All you must do is meditate and listenm it may or may not become clear to you.

All skeptic's will be left behind.
