Using you for what? I think the obvious signs are there...that he likes you? He flirts back because he likes you too but at some point in time, one of you have got to confront one another. If you two supposedly talk about everything, how come you can't tell him how you feel? If he flirts with you too, its obvious that he feels the same attraction that you feel for him. You should tell him how you feel because if he's eyeing other girls, then it would be just a matter of time before one of them snags him. Ask him how he felt if you two became more than just friends. Then see what's his response.

Guys don't hang around if they don't like you. Seriously. He flirts with you as a shy, self-protective thing, because you think he's kidding. But he most likely isn't.
Seriously, wha have you got to lose? Put it all out there. Get him alone in a romantic atmosphere (or sexy, you know, whatever you want from him at first) and see what happens. He might be a little scared of where you're going at first (if he's the shy type).
But yes. I think he likes you, and I think you should tell him to stop playing games. You two belong together.

If you let him know how you really feel about him chances are that he'll be extremely flattered and even let you know his true feelings for you. If you ask him how he feels about you he might not know how to answer that. He might not even know if you were serious or not, so telling him your true feelings should give you the answer youre looking for. You could ask a hundred people if they think that this guy likes you but the truth is only one person really knows, so go tell him whats up.

Well he sounds like he is just a flirt. I think he does not want to say anything cause he might not want to hurt your feelings. Also if yall have a real good relationship he might not want to jepordize it. Try talkin to him. Just let him know you would like to be with him. Thats the only way to get out of doubt.

Be real with him ask him if he likes you the same way you like him ask if he wants to do dinner a movie swimming go to a football game ask him what are his interests if he's using u or playin headgames tell him never mind I'm not into that feel him out more like get to really know him
