I thought it was a second cousin, but someone told me a second cousin was your parent's cousin's kid. So, what is your cousin's kid?

I always thought it was second cousin, but I would just go with cousin or your cousin's kid.

No, you're cousin's kid IS your secon cousin. You parent's cousin's kid is your 1st cousin once removed. In my family we just say cousin because that junk gets to complicated.

Your cousin´s kid is your second cousin. Your parent´s cousin´s kid is your third cousin, since your parent´s cousin is your second cousin, and your parent´s first cousin. It´s confusing!

It depends on whose kid your cousin is...for instance...if your cousin is the child of your parents sibling, that makes you their first cousin. Their kid would be your second cousin, and that child’s kid would be your third cousin and so on and so forth. Hope that helps.

Child of first cousin is your first cousin once removed. Second cousins are relatives who share the same pair of great grandparents
