My daughter is 2 and she keeps rubbing her head and saying ouch, she hasn't hit her head or anything along those lines. She hasn't been sleeping well either. But I know I started getting migraines at age 7 just wondering what age they can start at.

My son is now 4, but started complaining about headaches when he was around 2. We later found out the headaches were from his allergies.. which is now treated.. but he still occasionally gets headaches.

I agree with the first answer. She might have a vision problem and the strain on her eyes could be causing her to have headaches. I've never heard of a child having headaches at that age, but I'm sure it's nothing serious. Take her to the doctor though--it's better to be safe than sorry. Good luck and God bless.

It's hard when they're that age, but you're right- she probably has a headache. My son is 4 and gets them sometimes too- but he's old enough now to tell me his head hurts at least! I'd say keep a close eye on her to see if she's getting sick otherwise, take her in to see the doctor about it, and in the mean time give her some children's motrin. Give her a hug from me too- poor baby!

Yes toddlers can get headaches. They can even get migraines. I would have her seen by a Dr. You know how bad migraines feel.

Yes I beleive they can, its just so hard to diagnos it because they can't really communicate what they feel. I started getting migraines in the around 9.

It's entirely possible -- but kids that age can't always articulate enough to tell you what's wrong. Offer her some children's tylenol (I recommend you avoid any brand whose active ingredient is psuedoephedrine) and and tell her it's going to make the "owies" go away -- the placebo effect may help, if nothing else...
