You can get a cold sore from stress from the sunlight. I use to get them all the time. If you feel one coming on right away you should tell your dr and they can give you something for it. Mild cases of the first infection need no treatment. In severe cases your physician may advise you to rest, take aspirin if you have a fever, and use a mild mouthwash. Cold sores generally clear up uneventfully. However, if the blisters are especially painful, your physician may prescribe a medication that you can apply to the sores to ease the pain as the sores heal.
