APPLY ANYWAY! I just started my first year of college also and financial aid does take awhile but get your fafsa form in as soon as possible. If it doesn't go through for this year, it will be ready for next year. Also, the college you are attending may have specialized loan programs for people without any help or credit. Another option is to ask you school about work study and volunteer programs. Some volunteer programs award college scholarship money. Just keep talking to you school. They make money off us college students anyway so they'll do everything in their effort to get you into school. Another thing, do a web search for your state under "volunteer for college scholarships" or something along those lines. It's volunteer work but some programs will pay enough for your 1st year. Check out a couple of the websites below too. Good Luck

You could give FAFSA a shot. I know when I went to college, I filled out the application after the first semester already started and I got some federal money. All the state money at that point was gone, but I was able to finance my school just from the federal loans. I believe I got the stafford loans and a pell grant. If that doesn't work, then you might have to pay yourself. Sucks...

I just fill out my fafsa 2 weeks ago, you will still need to fill it anyway. Here is a site to help students with or NO credit history and with or NO co-signer. My parents wouldn't sign for anything. Go to www.myrichuncle.com they also look at your grades too to help you qualify. I meet with the financial aid planner at my school on the 9, so once i find out what i need for school I am going to myrichuncle.com to get my loan. Oh, and they also do sponsorships.

You should be able to get a student loan anyway. Fill out the FAFSA after you do your taxes in January.

If you missed the deadline for filling your fasfa, then you are out of luck if you are unable to find a strong co-signer unless your schl offers you a perkins loan or a pell grant otherwise you might have to work and go to schl

Better not take students loans or pawn interests, they are no good with african americans, though if you actually have a good hunch on this be careful (if any) with supremacy benefits and perhaps a no-home mortgage. Go for your bank´s creditor and request a union fund or perhaps united ***** college fund can help you so later it can be reimbursed. You will have no legal troubles out of this, and probably out of good qualifications you will pay it all with no delay.
