Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/ to see the recalls, service bulletins and defect investigation for a Dodge Dakota

That depends on the year of the vehicle.

There have been ball joint recalls on Dakotas and Durangos, but for specific recall information get the last 8 numbers of your VIN and call a dodge dealer service department and they will be able to tell you for sure.

Here's how to determine recall info on Daimler-Chrysler (Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep) products...

1.) Call 1-800-853-1403... have your VIN info...

2.)On chrysler.com, dodge.com, jeep.com websites, click on 'contact us', and follow the menu...

3.) Contact your dealer service dept. ... have your VIN info...

yes. i have an 85 and, had to take it to the dealership because they had a recall on the part in the transmission that makes it stay in park.
but also, when it was only 7 months old, i had to take it back because the right front strut was leaking.
