Yep, like others are saying it is a panic attack.

I went to my GP who sent me to a counsellor and I was fine. I got some meditation exercises, deep breathing and learnt to relax.

Long walks can help or cleaning the kitchen or pulverising weeds can also help.

Yes! In my case it was chrionic anxiety. But there are numerous reason why this could be happening to you. I have a teen that was feelign the same way. It turnned out that she was drinking the pea pickin xxxRock Starxxx energy drinks. They are loaded with Turine (check my spelling) and driving her body chemistry bonkers. SO if you are drinking eneergy drinks, lay off of them for a cuple weeks and see if that helps...caffein too!

Look at your life, see if there are some underlying stressors that need to be eliminated...a journal is a great way to get your mind straight.

It's not a bad idea to consult with your physician, but dont let them be too eager to put you on antidepressants (which is a common first apporach)....chemical intervention should be a last resort.

Also get regular exercise and planty of sleep. Your body is the only one you got darlin, listen to it, educate yourself and take care of it....you'll thank yourself!

I would

OMG yesI do alot..I am 23 and this has been happening since i was 19. I called my dr and they wanted me on zoloft or paxil....but I dont like taking meds because sometimes they have reverse side effects. My anxiety gets worse of the night time, or in a large crowd, (fair, eating out etc)It is scary and I always think OMG I am going to die of a heart attack....what helps me is to pop in a movie(if im at home) and watch the movie real closely...to try and get my mind off of it/.
Your are having panic/anxiety. I wish I knew a cure for it...but I dont....I cant wait to see what others post on here...if you ever want to talk on yahoo messenger, you can message me...kiwidew69

Yes, it's caused by anxiety and fear, usually coupled with sharpened senses to cope with the cause of these symptoms, and is gone when the cause is removed. It becomes a panic attack when the person finds it difficult to breath and feels extremely ill to the extent that they are not able to be rational.

Hi you poor thing, please dont worry, its anxiety, its mind over matter, i know because i have it,so bad that i cannot eat, then i would worry that if i couldnt eat, i would die, and i was alwyas starvin because i was burning it up so quick, so i would try to eat more, but just could not get it down. so it was a circle, i went to the doctors and OMG he put me on antidepress tabs, beta blockers and diazipan, i took one look at them, and knew if i took them i would never learn to control it, my sleep went, becuase i would be waiting for the panics to start, in the morning i would wake at five and my tummy would be turning, i would be on the loo three times aday, so i didnt take anything, i went for reflexology, he picked it up straight away, i had so much adrenalin in my blood stream, he worked hard on me, i took natra calm tablet (herbal) and in a week, i had it under control, i have learned to change my thought pattern,i used to force food down my throat, and now i eat when im calm and im fine, so you are not the only one, there are loads of us, YOU WILL BE FINE i promise, get relax tapes for the night time, put ear phones on. try your very best to stay off pills from the doctor, because the side effects are worse, but i will say i keep some Diazapan for the really bad panics, because they do work and act really fast, but they are addictive, so just the fact that i have them, stops me from having bad panics,
YOU WILL GET BETTER

yes. many times. what you are having is a good old fashioned panic attack. when you feel this way stop thinking about what your physical self is doing. start thinking about what you are letting your body get away with. it's scary, i know. somehow during one of my own panic attacks my brain kicked in and started to calm my body down. then i slowly learned to start using my mind to calm my body down when the panic appeared. maybe just try this "mind over matter" thing and see if it works for you. i feel for you and i hope you you feel alot better soon.
