Why is this in Cooking & Recipes??????
I'm a nurse and the bravest thing I've ever done was performing CPR 3 times on my own child. It took enormous courage to continue resuscitation and think of him as a patient and not my son.

I was on holiday in Majorca in 1989 when there was a freak hurricane type storm which basically devastated calla millor and sa coma.
Me and my ex waded thru flood water to get back to our apartment and virtually as soon as we got to the first floor, it was like someone had opened the floodgates and the water rose to about 4ft and was rushing. There was a family caught in this so my ex hung himself out of a window to try to reach the kids where-as I just saw the kids being swept away in my mind's eye and ran back down the stairs and with my back to the current, grabbed the little boy and the mothers hand and pulled them in.
After I'd done it I fainted on the spot. Absolutely true and absolutely terrifying. I'm still in-touch with the family.

Well, I've done a lot of wild and wacky things, but since this is in the cooking section....let me think.....Back when I was married, it had to have been Thanksgiving dinner. I barely knew how to cook then & I ended up trying to do turkey & all the trimmings for a party of about thirty people.
Parts of it were complete disasters, and some of it was actually very good. A bit of it was even edible, but the funniest part was dropping one of the turkeys straight from the oven onto the floor. Ouch.
Looking back on it, it was fun. But it was a nightmare then & we ended up ordering pizza to suppliment. he he heh....lol....I'm so glad I've learned a lot since then.

I moved two hours away from anyone I knew for a summer job. I was really scared but I ended up learning a ton, making a ton of money and making a ton of friends.

After 5 years of mental, verbal, and physical abuse from my husband, I finally found courage and the bravery to take the kids and leave him. that is the only brave thing I know of that I have done. And to this day, my two children have grown into mature young polite and well mannered men.

I was sitting with my friend in a picturesque place and we found a man trying to put a pipe from his car exhaust into his window and we stopped him and called an ambulance.
